Abstract
:
The civil war that tore apart Angola during more than thirty years stopped in 2002. Infrastructure and health and education systems need to be rebuilt. Needs are huge, especially in the provinces. Nevertheless, the international development NGO for which Angola could have been a juicy market are absent from the country. The oil companies, through their corporate social responsibility departments, implement or finance numerous development projects. The arrival of these new actors has different consequences on the model of development that is proposed. We will focus on the example of public health and observe how these new actors influence the public health model that is implemented in Angola.
